The Lifting Tower - Opening Night

On the night that all of our animations got put up on the tower, we all went down to see and it was great. It was really rewarding to see everybody's work being projected in such a public place.

Note: not all of the work in the photograph above is mine! 

The final animations produced will be submitted separately, simply because I didn't see much benefit from adding them to my youtube sight, because not only are then animation very short and festive, but they also don't have a strong link to my interests as a practitioner. 

What I learnt from this experience

This brief was really enjoyable and I feel it reminded me what it was like to work collaboratively & with new people from different areas in the art industry. It was also really interesting to work in collaboration with Lumin and to have our work being shown in such a business related area. This experience really reiterated the importance of communication when working collaboratively, not just with my peers but also with Jimmy from Lumin, who was helping to run this projection. 

It also made me realise that when working with projection, aspects such as colour & simplicity need to be thoroughly considered, because once something is projected, it looks quite different to how it does on screen. It also gave me the opportunity to get some experience down on my CV!
